Experience required:

  • A working knowledge of SAP in an EWM environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications particularly MS Excel & Powerpoint.
  • The ability to resolve internal disputes in a unionized environment while maintaining a balanced working relationship with your team.
  • The ability to deal with a range of suppliers and contractors to ensure necessary service

Responsibilities:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Manage inbound containers from port with focus on demurrage charges, cost, and service. Work closely with supply planning to ensure resource is in place to manage volumes and throughput.
  • Site Management – Ensuring the Balbriggan site is compliant with H&S regulations including Fire regulation checks, Fire drills and organizing all relevant safety training for the LSCM team. Dealing with occasional out of hours issues for example Fire Alarms or security issues.
  • Contributing to annual budget preparations with an emphasis on identifying any potential extra spend/cost that may occur and needs to be budgeted for.
  • Involvement in ensuring BS Ireland maintains its ISO quality certification by managing supplier and H&S documentation efficiently.
  • Complete regular performance reviews with all member of the team.
  • Ensure safe operations are in place as part of the culture and processes.
  • Ensure efficient operations are in place across the warehouse (handling, storage, inventory control, administration) matching the daily workload to staffing levels.
  • Ensure capabilities and resource are balanced to meet both variable business demands and budget parameters.
  • Ensure efficient operations are in place across the transport team to ensure the best mix of in-house and outsourced logistics carriers are deployed. Achieve best balance between customer service and cost-to-serve.
  • Support the UK & IE Logistics Manager and contribute on potential tenders, suppliers agreements and contracts.
