Description:

Responsible for the management of all systems and activities involved in the receiving, storage and shipping of products in a Bunge facility.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Cultivate a safety culture where unsafe acts are not tolerated and employees and management have a common goal of zero injuries.
  • Executes good manufacturing practices while promoting a safe working environment and maintaining sanitation standards (GMP and HAACP) through the supervision of all phases of the warehousing, shipping and receiving of products and supplies.
  • Manage monthly sanitation inspections and lead, monitor and ensure corrective actions are completed as necessary.
  • Track and report facility productivity improvements.
  • Continually identifies and implements short and long-term cost savings opportunities, in the areas of distribution and warehousing that do not compromise quality.
  • Responsible for developing and driving Operations Excellence Plans to help meet safety, quality and production goals and show continuous improvement throughout the facility.
  • Support the continuous improvement activities and act as a change agent for any changes that occur in the facility.
  • Monitor KPR’s throughout the facility and help develop plans to bring teams in line with Operations Excellence goals.
  • Participate in daily production meetings to remain informed and ensure that the activities of all production operations management are aligned.
  • Participate in new employee selection process.
  • Assist Department Superintendents and Shift Supervisors with personnel issues by participating in investigations and recommending corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure maintenance of all material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, trucks and trailers.
  • Maintain understanding of warehouse capacities, monitor daily levels and plan future moves.
  • Ensure integrity of all SAP transactions: Post goods inventory, returns and inventory accuracy.
  • Plan, lead, and conduct finished goods inventory counts as determined by management.
  • Develop and maintain a schedule for forklift drivers and truck drivers that meet the demand of plant volume and customer requirements.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or commensurate work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience (or equivalent combination of education and years of experience) in warehousing, oil refining, oil packaging operations, or related and applicable activities.
  • Proficiency with basic computer skills, including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word and other technical software packages, as needed.
  • Transportation/distribution or logistics experience
  • Exceptional customer service and team building skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience using material handling equipment and systems; EWM and SAP
  • MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
  • Excellent oral and written skills, as well as motivational skills, delegation skills and the ability to mediate.
  • Must possess technical and IT skills, numeracy and finance skills and the ability to problem solve.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work within a team environment.
