Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE
The main purpose of the Manager, Warehouse is to oversee and perform various aspects of Warehousing, Shipping/Receiving and Fulfillment; ensuring to meet company quality standards, accuracy, productivity, and service objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Physically receive products into the warehouse, including full inspection.
- Store and document the incoming product and location.
- Physically transfer product between buildings and to operators on production floor.
- Perform receiving for incoming product in the inventory system
- Review and fully execute job instructions as specified in documents/dockets/tickets
- Perform Shipping and Receiving duties
- Relay any quality issues to V.P. Production immediately.
- Manage inventory control management and follow strict processes for the handling of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Operate moving and lifting equipment such as the forklift, walkie/end-rider, narrow aisle reach, pallet jacks, Clamp trucks and carts to move/relocate skids of inventory materials.
- Organize the warehouse/storage space and contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures.
- Compare shipping rates, prepare, and arrange for the most economical and efficient shipping of materials with various couriers.
- Inspect and verify shipped and received goods against packing slips/bills of lading for both incoming and outgoing items prior to signing off.
- Reject and report damaged goods and any shipping/receiving discrepancies
- Pick and pack Fulfillment orders or inventory product release items and ensure accuracy of orders.
- Receive and label stock items and ensure they are placed in correct storage locations and update company inventory management systems accurately.
- Prepare and handle all inventory for confidential shredding or destruction
- Prepare and maintain appropriate paperwork for shipping, including packing slips, bills of lading (BOL) or customs forms for across the border deliveries
- Constant review and reconciliation of obsolete items, review of new item additions, etc.
- Run full physical inventory count process as well as cycle counts as required.
- Enter production data, such as materials used or waste, into the Company’s proprietary computer systems.
- Maintain Warehouse and Fulfillment inventory supplies and order for replenishment accordingly.
- Assist in basic facility maintenance requirements such as replacing light bulbs or small appliance batteries.
- Manage other shipping staff that report into you.
