Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Supervises the overall warehouse operations and daily activities of staff. Oversees the shipping and receiving of goods to internal and external customers. Maintains inventory levels and records in a computer database. Trains new employees on department procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Requires Associate’s degree in Business or a relevant field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2-4 years supervisory experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving environment.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid drivers license is required. Class B CDL preferred.
  • Technical Abilities: Knowledge of basic inventory, packaging and warehousing functions. Ability to operate warehouse and delivery equipment and vehicles, such as a fork lift, delivery van, etc. Basic mathematical and record keeping skills.
  • Autonomy/Direction: Takes performance expectations from senior leaders and directs the work of others to meet expectations. Works with little to no supervision and is required to demonstrate high-level decision-making including personnel decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • 14%: Supervises the shipping, receiving, sorting and distribution of incoming parts, materials and equipment. Audits packing slips for discrepancies and correct part numbers. Confirm orders for billing.
  • 14%: Maintains warehouse storage space, organizes inventory, and performs inventory counts. Orders shop supplies as necessary.
  • 14%: Makes deliveries and picks up deliveries as necessary.
  • 14%: Provides excellent customer service to internal groups (Construction and Service departments) and external customers in person and on the phone. Pull, tag and coordinate deliveries of job materials for projects at all branches. Audit orders pulled by Warehouse Associates.
  • 14%: Manages safety for the warehouse department. Maintain clean and safe work environment.
  • 14%: Assists Warehouse Associates during times of high volume.
  • 16%: Other duties as assigned.
