  • Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to execute across a large interconnected organisation
  • Experience working with warehousing and/or supply chain and logistics
  • Proven ability to influence a positive safety culture
  • Commercial acumen with ability to manage a cost centre and drive continuous improvement activities aimed at increasing performance outcomes
  • Demonstarted experience manaing standards processes, continuous improvement, reporting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to adopt automation and technology in an operating environment to deliver safe and productive outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the General Manager – Customer Solutions, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading a large team and ensuring the overall efficient and effective management of Operations within the Tomago Parts Warehouse. This position plays a key role in the effectiveness of WesTrac’s supply chain with the warehouse operating 24/7 to service internal and external customers.
The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement and maximise efficiencies through effective planning, utilisation of technology and leveraging systems to forecast demand requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promote and embed a positive safety culture through demonstrated safety leadership practises
  • Provide training and development opportunities to team members and ensure appropriate succession planning is considered
  • Implement Warehouse Operational strategy
  • Manage Warehouse results through adequate planning and forecasting; including the preparation of budgets.
  • Manage operational and capital expenditures
  • Maximise efficiency through workflow planning
  • Drive automation led efficiency projects
  • Delivering on high levels of customer performance
  • Work closely with all other WesTrac business unit stakeholders
