Description:
JOB SUMMARY
The Warehouse and Production Lead will lead their shift with filling salt production orders utilizing packaging equipment including baggers and heat sealers. In addition to the production of salt products. The lead hand will ensure the production equipment is maintained and cleaned, and provide trouble shooting for equipment. Perform activities, duties and responsibilities associated with warehousing. Such duties include bagging, rework, and stacking / unstacking of packaged products; operating mobile equipment to load and unload bulk and packaged trucks when needed; to operate electronic bar-coding equipment and conveyor systems.

- Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

Responsibilities:
- Pick, wrap and properly stack bagged salt products meeting safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
- Operate fork-lift trucks to support operating production shift meeting safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
- Drop palletized bag product at a rate sufficient to support operating production shift goals while meeting safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
- All work is to be performed to standards set by the Company Policy and regulatory agency.
- Maintain work area clear of hazards and in compliance with housekeeping, safety, and environmental standards.
- Operate bag machine for filling bags.
- Operate forklift to load trucks for delivery.
- Operate blend line.
- Operate jug line.
- Use wheel loader for pushing salt and loading truck after successful training.
- Bulk and pneumatic bulk loading. Includes landscaper loading.
- Assist with plant related maintenance/repair as required.
- Participate in Reliability improvements at the facility. Identify potential problems and suggest corrective actions.
- Other duties as assigned.
