Description:

Maritime Helicopter Program (MHP)
L3 MAS plays an important in-service support role (SES) for the Canadian CH148 Maritime Helicopter Program (MHP) Cyclone. Our mandate is to assist Sikorsky (the manufacturer) with respect to the engineering and airworthiness certification of the new helicopters, as well as the development of a continuous airworthiness program. The main responsibility of L3Harris MAS is to provide In Service Support (ISS) for the Maritime Helicopter Weapons System (MHWS).
As a Warehouse Stores Keeper at L3Harris MAS you will:
Reporting directly to the Site Associate Manager, the role of the Warehouse Stores Keeper is to make sure that received items are stored in their appropriate location, that needed items are retrieved according to the picking list provided, that picked items are brought to their required location for assembly and or shipping, accurate inventory counts are maintained. It is essential all activities are performed accurately, efficiently and in a safe manner.
In addition, the Warehouse Stores Keeper will be required to cross train as a CSPI Technician (Customer Service Point of Issue) in order to assist at peak times or as required.
Day and evening shifts with bi-weekly rotation are required.
To achieve this, you will be called upon to:
-

Accurately and safely put-away material in its assigned location in the integrated warehouse;

  • To safely pick, label and deliver material to its designated destination;
  • To accurately consolidate and properly package material in accordance with provided lists and instructions;
  • To assist with delivery of shipments of Pack-up Kits (PUKs), returns, maintenance task requirements such as parts and consumables accurately consolidated and properly packaged in accordance with provided lists and instructions;
  • To assist with all inbound and outbound shipping activities for all the spares, consumables, STE, tools and GSM including Dangerous Goods flowing through the integrated MH warehouse. These activities are conducted in accordance with published procedures and instructions, established processes and stated guidelines.
  • In a timely and accurate manner, perform inventory counts as required; and
  • To report any materiel discrepancies to the Site Associate Manager.

Resources:

  • A computerized material management support system (CMMS);
  • A computerized management system (SAP);
  • Material handling equipment including electric forklift;
  • A library of business processes, procedures and instructions;
  • A small team of employees each specialized to support their specific process or operations requirement.

    Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma;

  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in materials handling including dangerous goods and warehousing is required;
  • Knowledge of a Material Reporting System (MRP), like SAP is required;
  • Possess excellent communication skills;
  • Function effectively in English (verbal and written);
  • Working knowledge of MS office suite;
  • Soft skill: being a team player, resourceful, organized, being capable to prioritize in a short delay environment, customer oriented.

Operational requirements :

Must be eligible for registration to the Controlled Goods Program;

  • Must be eligible to obtaining and maintaining the government of Canada’s “NATO Secret” security clearance.
