About the opportunity
Airbus Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Storeperson to join our team in Edinburgh, SA.
As a member of the Edinburgh Material Support and Logistics (MS&L) team, this role will operate as a fully embedded resource in Commonwealth-managed warehouses and work alongside ADF personnel to deliver logistic support to RAAF Capabilities.
About the role
Reporting to the Team Lead Supply Chain, with daily tasking provided by the Warehouse Officer in Charge (OIC), this role contributes to the quality and airworthiness standards through application of warehousing best practice and stock control.
This role is responsible for the receipt, dispatch and storage management of Aeronautical spare parts and consumables. This role provides support services in accordance with the processes, systems and tools set by the Team Lead Supply Chain.
About you
To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a team environment, have well developed stakeholder engagement and expectation management skills as well as good verbal and written skills.
You will need to be someone who is able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Forklift Licence (essential)
  • MILIS & SAP experience
  • Understanding of warehousing best practice, and warehouse and storage principles
  • Understanding of stock control, stock rotation and inventory management processes
  • Experience in receipt, packing and distribution of Aeronautical products
  • Exposure to supply chain performance reporting, data gathering and analysis
  • Team orientation and the ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders
  • Ability to identify improvement opportunities to remove waste and drive efficiency
  • Able to maintain data integrity within Commonwealth, Airbus and other relevant systems (e.g. MILIS, AIMS, SAP etc.) and participate in data purification and review tasks as required
  • Demonstrated experience with inventory management tools, particularly Defence specific tools MILIS and SAP systems
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction
