QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or stockroom environment is preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment is essential (certification may be required).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy items.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities, and inspect for damages.
  • Document and report discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Properly store products in designated locations within the warehouse.
  • Ensure goods are organized and easily accessible for retrieval.
  • Rotate stock to maintain inventory freshness
  • Conduct regular stock counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Notify the supervisor of low stock levels and order replenishments as needed.
  • Monitor and manage shelf life and expiration dates of products.
  • Accurately pick and pack orders according to customer specifications.
  • Prepare orders for shipping and ensure they are properly labelled and ready for dispatch.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks using forklifts or other warehouse equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe receiving and shipping area.
  • Ensure that all goods are handled and stored in compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Conduct quality checks on products when necessary.
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Adhere to all relevant regulations, including handling hazardous materials if applicable.
