• This position serves as a shift leader for the distribution center. Leads and directs employees performing distribution center functions. Responsible for directly managing warehouse employees and interacting with other supervisors and managers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide daily direction to warehouse employees who perform work in shipping, receiving, loading and unloading trucks, stocking, picking, packing and palletizing finished products ensuring efficient operations and processes. Communicate with staff and employees to drive alignment and consistency to goals and company objectives.
• Manage performance, productivity, attendance, quality and housekeeping expectations and drive personal accountability. Address performance problems, recognition and provide coaching where appropriate. Ensure policies and work practices are administered in a fair and consistent fashion.
• Ensure a continuous focus is placed on process improvement and reduction of waste. Empower and encourage employees to continually evaluate and improve daily processes.
• Ensure a safety driven culture. Ensure expectations are clearly articulated, safe work practices are adhered to and hold employees accountable for safety infractions. Investigate safety related issues or violations.
• Responsible for reporting and tracking of shift metrics.
• Performs other tasks or duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will manage direct reports and have responsibility for performance management and day-to-day coaching to ensure success of the warehouse associates. Train or ensure that employees are properly trained for their specific roles. Share Company updates, financial results, and new objectives with employees. Assist with resolving quality discrepancies or customer concerns. Identify and resolve workplace problems, including tardiness or absenteeism. Provide reports and production updates to senior management. Assist in hiring and terminating activities.
