Description:
Join our team as a Warehouse Supervisor at our warehouse located on Annacis Island in Delta, BC. Urban barn is a national retail chain with over 50 retail stores across the country offering high-quality furniture and home décor. We’re all about making our customers and employees feel right at home.
Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading and guiding the warehouse team to facilitate product warehousing and delivery service to stores and customers, supporting overall sales and profit goals.
Our team works Monday to Friday from 7:30 – 4:00. We are looking for candidates who are available to work 40 hours a week with the flexibility for our business hours.
Responsibilities:
- Assign and monitor daily tasks for the team to ensure maximum productivity
- Lead the daily huddle to communicate daily responsibilities and updates
- Plan and implement efficient and effective utilization of labor, equipment, schedule, and resources
- Train and coach team members in the best warehouse practices for safety productivity, service, and accuracy
- Assist in the recruitment process, and provide orientation and training to new team members
- Maintain a culture of safety, proactively taking measures for the health and safety of the team
- Develop a product flow plan for receiving of containers
- Supports and/or executes the coordination of activities with other departments, facilities, and vendors
- Foster an inclusive environment for all team members to voice their experience, thoughts, and ideas for continued process improvement
