Summary of Responsibilities
Oversee all warehousing and spare parts inventory of URENCO USA’s physical site, its infrastructure and related services, to ensure an adequate, safe and efficient work environment. Establish and manage contracts and oversee activities for warehouse related activities. Collaborate with site stakeholders and required vendors to manage obsolescence.
Education and Experience
The qualified candidate will, at a minimum, have 2 years of relevant experience working with operational business partners in alignment for successful Warehouse operations, will stablish and manage contracts and oversee activities for warehouse related activities. Collaborate with site stakeholders and required vendors to manage obsolescence, with at least 3 to 5 years of experience being desired. The successful candidate will possess at least a High school diploma or GED or equivalent (with at least 3 years of relevant experience), or a Bachelor’s degree (with 2 years of relevant experience).

Job Details

  • The work location for this position is Urenco USA, Eunice, NM
  • Work Schedule: Professional work schedule/ with minimal night/ weekend support. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed.
  • Travel Required: 20% of the time or less as required. (Percentage may change based on business needs).
  • Security Clearance Requirement: Controlled Access Area (CAA) Access is required.
  • L or Q level security clearance is required.
  • Work Environment: Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General Office, Plant Production Areas. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.

Primary Functions

Work both strategically and hands-on to deliver results for the business unit/department.

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of effective spare parts management in order to limit costs and improve accuracy, service and safety to provide continuous improvement with focus areas for obsolescence, end of life and other inventory indicators.
  • Conducts obsolescence analysis efforts, including collaboration with Procurement, Engineering external resources as necessary to make proper replacement recommendations.
  • Oversees warehouse planning – inventory management, change management, new inventory, warehouse space management, new technology, staffing needs, equipment needs, building modifications to support warehouse functions. Inventory management includes insuring materials are available, properly stored and secured, reservations are fulfilled as scheduled.
  • Responsible for providing technical and administrative oversight for warehouse operations and inventory management with minimal supervision or direction.
  • Actively collaborates with the Maintenance Support, Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance teams, Engineering and Operations to identify and resolve inventory issues.
  • Actively collaborates with Finance and Procurement to ensure effective inventory management and control of materials purchased and stored in the UUSA Warehouse.
  • Prepares, reviews and/or signs documents required for day to day warehouse functions. Examples include but are not limited to; KPI data, Inventory reports, EV’s
  • Assists in the budgeting process for warehouse related budget items. Recommendations and comments are considered in determining budget items.
  • Performs technical support for the procurement of parts, tools and equipment. This includes but is not limited to; writes MMN requests for warehouse parts, assist Procurement Engineering and SME’s with technical field information to ensure that correct parts are procured, writing Purchase Requisitions (PR’s)
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Work Control process, specifically understanding the impact of inventory levels, obsolescence, and spare parts usage to that process.
  • Assists in the management of the facilities contract and overseeing contract performance in the warehouse.
  • Establish and maintain program, processes, procedures and contracts to ensure efficiency, safety, housekeeping and security of warehouse.
  • Responsible to ensure nuclear safety and regulatory compliance by ensuring that Quality processes are followed in the receipt process.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, standards and guidelines.
  • Assist and provide delegation of duties for the Facilities Contract Management
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
