Activate is a technology company known for creating Canada’s first full-scale interactive gaming experience. We are looking to expand our Manufacturing team with the addition of a Warehouse Team Lead. The Warehouse Team Lead will be responsible for leading the warehouse by overseeing inventory, picking and packaging, storage, receiving, shipping and administrative functions. This is a full-time, permanent position. Warehouse day shifts run from 8am-4pm.

THE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly conscientious and attentive; uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure
  • Post-secondary cert./dip in logistics or supply chain management
  • 3-5 years in a related field
  • Forklift operator certified

Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations

  • Oversee and coordinate all activities in the warehouse
  • Ensure accuracy of outgoing product/packaging (labels and packaging)
  • Verify warehouse/shipping supply inventory is kept at optimal levels
  • Track inventory for both consumable and non consumable goods, maintain accurate stock levels, and investigate inventory discrepancies of raw materials and finished goods
  • Coordinate the storage and accurate movement of materials within or between departments of a warehouse or establishment
  • Receive and resolve incoming requests involving transaction discrepancies reported by Operations, Customer Service, or Purchasing
  • General maintenance and cleanliness of warehouse; building shelves as required, maintain the facility (recycling, disposals)
  • Monitor the facility and equipment and report deficiencies
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned

Leadership

  • Lead the department with knowledge, maintaining a key focus on internal customers and external vendors
  • Lead employees through coaching and training, setting up an effective training process for new employees
  • Collaborate with Production teams on shipping schedules
  • Streamline processes and practices for simple but effective facility operations
  • Work with leader to establish systems to manage inventory, including a Purchase Order Process for ordering supplies
  • Foster communication between employees and senior management to ensure staff are aware of, and updated on schedule/changes
  • Ensure all warehouse employees work safely and follow established safety procedures
  • Attend and facilitate safety training as required to meet safety regulations
