ABOUT THE POSITION

Working for a company that produces top-notch products for ¼ of the world’s population is a hard job, but it’s worth it when you’re recognized often by your manager, supported by your team, and see the products you produce being used by your own family at the end of the day.
As a person, you will be in charge of removing all the wastepaper contaminants before they are fed onto the conveyor. You will also perform all the laboratory tests for the incoming wastepaper and Wet lap that is sent to external customers, keeping in mind to always adhere to all the safety regulation and follow the procedures for performing his/her task in a safe and honest way possible.

Here are just a few of the main responsibilities you will be performing in this opportunity :

  • Remove all the contaminants from the bales that can affect the process negatively.
  • Segregate contaminants taken from the bales, e.g. pieces plastic, metals, wires, boxes, brown fiber, clothing, shoes etc
  • Discard the contaminants in the segregated bin once full.
  • Responsible for general housekeeping and routine clean-up of lift trucks, assigned work areas to be kept in ‘visitor presentable’ condition at all times.
  • Clean up area and maintain 5S standard
  • Clean fork/ clamp trucks before the start of the shift and adhere to vehicle safety. Complete the Forklift checklist on start of shift or before starting to use the Forklift. Report forklift incidents to Inbound Material Coordinator, Shift Manager and Wastepaper Receiver, stop using the Forklift and report directly after the incident
  • Report any defects to the Inbound Material Coordinator, Shift Manager and Wastepaper Receiver
  • Assist in the offload of trucks when needed.
  • Assist other team members as required on shuts and general duties.
