Responsibilities:
- Ensure that accurate and timely water quality advice is provided proactively to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and implement policies, plans and procedures as required to ensure effective service delivery that meets client and business needs.
- Ensure the water quality monitoring program continues to meet requirements of the operating license, statutory and other requirements, such as algal contingency plans, raw and drinking water supply agreements, Australian Drinking Water Guidelines, ANZECC guidelines and emerging water quality issues.
- Maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders and regulators to ensure the timely resolution of customer, stakeholder and regulator issues relating to water monitoring/quality and the maintenance of ongoing compliance levels.
- Identify and address knowledge gaps relevant to the Water Quality Services team to ensure understanding of legislative and policy frameworks in which they operate.
