Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Director of Geosciences, the Water Quality Specialist is responsible for providing technical input in their area of expertise to design, conduct and report on water quality monitoring programs and studies including baseline studies, effects assessments, conceptual water management plans and compliance monitoring reports.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the surface water components of resource projects, including baseline studies, effects assessments, conceptual water management plans and compliance monitoring reports.
- Participates in the design of water quality programs and studies, and geochemistry projects.
- Analyzes and interprets data in area(s) of expertise and provides recommendations to project leads and clients.
- Develop high-quality written technical reports in support of regulatory and permit management assignments.
- Oversees development of data management plan and templates, and standardized procedures.
- Supports the writing and development of client proposals and explores business development opportunities in mining and other sectors.
- Provides technical input within area(s) of expertise to support the development and implementation of water treatment, permitting & assessment, and remediation projects.
- Interface with other technical experts to achieve multidisciplinary project goals.
- Interact and liaise with clients and assessors/government regulators.
- Manage special projects that support the broad-based needs of a rapidly expanding company.
- All other related duties as required.
