WATER RESOURCES PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER – FORT WORTH, TX

Halff has an immediate opening for a Water Resources Professional Engineer in Fort Worth, TX. Responsibilities of the position generally include stormwater/floodplain modeling and design for public and private clients. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to bolster our drainage design group, manage projects and people, and to train technical staff. WATER RESOURCES PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering Degree
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Texas is required
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Analysis and design of dams, levees, storm drain systems, detention, bridges/culverts, and channel/streambank stability projects.
  • Preparation of construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • 404 permitting experience working in creeks, ponds, and environmentally sensitive areas.
  • Proficient using MicroStation.
  • Proficient using GIS.
  • Proficient using HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS
  • Experience with 2D modeling software packages (InfoWorks ICM, XPSWMM) is beneficial but not required.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Proficient in project management, administration, training, and supervision.
