DISTRICT OF SUMMERLANDWATER TECHNICIAN 1, 2, 3, OR 4

The District of Summerland is seeking a Water Technician 1, 2, 3, or 4 for a term position with the potential for regular full-time permanent employment. The term will be for six months to cover a medical absence and the work involves troubleshooting, operating, maintaining, and upgrading a wide variety of equipment and components in the District’s water systems, watersheds, treatment facility, and associated appurtenances.

Required Qualifications

• EOCP certification in Water Treatment at EOCP Level 1, 2, 3, or 4.
• Completion of an accredited post-secondary program in Water/Wastewater Technology (or equivalent), plus related municipal experience and training in water treatment is preferred.

• A valid B.C. Driver’s Licence – Class 5.

  This is a CUPE full-time term position, and the pay will reflect the level of EOCP certification as per the CUPE Agreement: Level 1 - $33.62, Level 2 – $35.59, Level 3 - $37.24, Level 4 - $42.00, plus 15% in lieu.
