Aquatech Canadian Water Services Inc. is a privately held Canadian corporation established in 2004, specializing in management, operations, and maintenance services for both Water and Wastewater facilities. Aquatech Canadian Water Services Inc. is one of the largest private Canadian operations teams of Water and Wastewater treatment plants.
We presently are hiring a Water treatment plant supervisor for a full-time position. Candidates must possess Level II Water certifications and a valid class 5 driver’s license. This position is in Brooks, Alberta.
Supervisor would be responsible for the operation of the water plant and ensuring safe and clean water for the JBS Packing Plant in accordance with Alberta Environment legislation, regulations, policies, and standards.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
- Level II WT, WDS, WWT, WWC
- Valid class 5 driver’s license
- Excellent communication and decision making skills
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- 2 to 5 years of experience (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Able to operate SCADA systems and reporting database
- Professional level of English (B2)
MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATION REQUIRED

Responsibilities:
Duties, responsibilities and personal qualities required, but are not limited to:
- Maintain and operate the treatment system, including pretreatment, filtration, chemical processes
and final potable water.
- Complete regular plant inspections, making operational changes as required ensuring proper
operation of system components.
- Ensure adequate supply of water for Packing plant usage, human consumption and firefighting.
- Prepare work orders for servicing and repair of equipment.
- Complete daily recordings and documentation including, all adjustments, chemicals used, flow
recordings and compliance reporting.
- Initiate any non-compliance reporting to Alberta Environment & JBS Foods.
- Assist Director with budget preparation and recommendations.
- Complete in-house lab analyses; sample collection; and sample submission to certified laboratories.
- Maintain good contact and communications with JBS Packing Plant Officials.
- Meet with Alberta Environment officials.
- Assist with maintenance activities when required.
- Maintain chemical supply for maintenance cleaning activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
