Qk4 seeks an experienced and talented Water/Wastewater Civil Engineer Project Manager to join our Civil/Site team. The main function of this position is managing and leading design for water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, storage facilities, sewer collection and water transmission and distribution infrastructure projects. We are looking for someone with demonstrated experience and ability to lead moderate sized projects and immediately support pursuing, managing, and designing a variety of water and wastewater projects. This project management level position develops skills with increased responsibility by managing project teams in the direct performance of engineering design for our clients. The successful candidate ensures QK4 values and standards are embedded in every work product.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited program
- 6+ years’ experience with civil site/land development/project management
- KY PE registration or ability to obtain within brief timeframe.
- Strong design and technical credibility
- Excellent oral, written, and graphical communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage concurrent projects and deadlines.
- Dedicated to fostering teamwork, collaboration and honoring Qk4 values.

Responsibilities:
Ensuring that projects progress smoothly from initial conception to final delivery, meeting client expectations, regulatory requirements, and quality standards while. Throughout the full project life cycle, project managers handle tasks such as budget management, resource allocation, risk assessment, stakeholder communication, and project coordination. Here’s how:
- Serve as the engineering technical lead on water and wastewater projects.
- Pursue water and wastewater design projects, developing proposals including scope, budget, schedule, and deliverables.
- Create conceptual site plans, provide technical engineering guidance, and resolve project problems, challenges, and obstacles.
- Act as primary agent between client and project team developing the project scope and proposals, coordinating events, leading client meetings & internal project meetings, and delivery of final project to client.
- Develop and review project reports and findings. Makes modifications to project and communicates as needed.
- Manage the permitting and bid process for water and wastewater projects.
- Monitor construction progress and consult with contractors, project representatives and on-site engineers.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, customers, regulatory permitting agencies, contractors, and others.
- Set an example of our core values in daily actions and promotes a positive workplace culture.
