We are seeking a detail-orientated and flexible individual with previous knowledge and experience managing/publishing web content in a tertiary education institute or other complex environment.
Key Requirements:
- Experience working with content management systems (CMS).
- Able to identify and resolve problem, think critically, and come up with creative solutions.
- An understanding of web content best practises such as web writing, content design, accessibility.
- Experience communicating effectively with stakeholders, including business users, content owners, and project managers.
- Strong organisational, planning skills and attention to detail.
- Well-developed communications skills, including written, verbal, and listening skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a small team environment.
Responsibilities:
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Web Content Administrator, Subjects Qualifications & Courses (SQC) on a fixed-term, full-time basis until May 2025. The University is undertaking an exciting project to rethink, refresh and migrate the subject and qualification content from a web application to the main web channel and apply a fresh design to its course pages.
The Web Content Administrator SQC will assist in the migration of content for the subjects and qualifications sections of the SQC website. This involves building approximately 400 new web pages and uploading and migrating content.
Key responsibilities:
- Use the content management system to upload new content to the website.
- Work with the SQC Content Team to help plan the delivery of content.
- Assist the SQC Content Team when required to develop SQC content that is user-centred and delivers benefits.
- Comply with the quality assurance framework process.
- Participate in user-testing of new SQC content as required.
- Help create documentation that supports SQC content development, quality assurance, and user-testing.
