REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Communications, Social Sciences or related field.
Work experience
A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience, including the migration of content to Drupal websites.
Knowledge of websites development best practices and standards.
Good knowledge of Drupal, including Drupal content management.
Good understanding of SEO principles.
Good understanding of the concepts of user experience, user interface design principles and conceptual design.
Eye for design and attention to details.
Demonstrated ability in providing IT or web support to internal audiences.
Good understanding of the CI-CD concepts.
Knowledge of websites development best practices and standards.
Knowledge of industry-standard web development tools.
Languages
Fluency in English, both verbal and written (required).
Responsibilities:
The Consultant’s tasks consist of mapping UIS’ existing online content and proposing a strategy for its logical migration across onto the UNESCO website,
Specifically, the consultant will be responsible for the following tasks/duties:
1. A mapping of UIS’ existing online text-driven content
2. A proposed strategy for progressively migrating UIS online content onto the UNESCO website ensuring an attractive, user-friendly and accessible front-end design and interface.
3. Monthly reports tracking progress in restructuring the website and providing enhanced user experience.
4. Monthly plan for content upload and new page creation.
5. Proposal of branding suggestions for the UIS webpages within the new site and in line with UNESCO brand guidelines.
6. After sign off of the new strategy and brand proposals, complete the design and development of a new institute website within the UNESCO website in coordination with the Web Product Manager at DIR/CPE
7. Migration of UIS text-driven content onto the UNESCO Drupal server
