An ideal candidate would have excellent verbal and written communication skills as the main form of contact with couples and clients will be via phone and email. To excel in this role you need passion for the industry and be eager and driven to win the business and be ready to stay level when things do not go to plan. Good organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and great team spirit to achieve group targets.
We are looking for a candidate who possesses strong sales and negotiation skills, has a proven track record of handling enquiries and converting them via telephone and email, and has the ability to be creative and offer flexibility, bespoke packages and create memorable experiences for our couples and customers.

Responsibilities:

Our Wedding and Events Sales Consultant play a pivotal role in ensuring that each wedding and event held at our venue is a seamless and unforgettable experience for our clients. This diverse role combines building relationships, sales and planning, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. The role reports directly to the Customer Excellence Manager and is part of a team based from our Commercial Hub in Rugby - Northampton (NN6 7XR).

Day-to-day responsibilities as a Sales Consultant include:

  • Managing and processing high volume of enquiries in accordance with brand standards
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and specific requirements for their event
  • Booking show arounds with clients and allocated hotels, hosting regular virtual check-ins
  • Provide detailed information about pricing, packages, and customizations
  • Guide clients through the booking process, contracts, and payment procedures
  • Liaise and communicate with internal staff as well as external suppliers as necessary to ensure efficient co-ordination of events
