Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will play a vital role in managing the maintenance welding operations, ensuring the safety of personnel, the quality of welds, and efficient use of resources. Effective leadership, technical knowledge of welding processes, and attention to detail are key skills for success in this role.
No day will be the same and you will need to think on your feet juggling priorities. You will be working side by side with a diverse group of maintenance professionals’ who work on anything from 400 tonne diggers to small components – from the Steel Mill to the Quarries the variety is huge!!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervision and workload scheduling for the team
  • Job management in consultation with the Workshop Managers, Estimators, Stores, and Support staff
  • Quality Control
  • Read and interpret plans drawings and diagrams.
  • Complete job cards and associated documentation
  • Conduct inspections and tests collating documentation relating to welding, materials inspection, and test.
  • Problem solving and customer liaison.
