We will provide on-the-job training and qualifications to an aspiring Fabrication Engineer specialising in copper fabricationforming and bespoke steelwork fabrication.
Working across 2 departments, copper fabrication and steelwork fabrication, the successful applicant will split their time learning the required skills from each department manager, offering a varied and diverse daily routine. Generally, copper fabrication involves cutting, punching, bending and forming of high conductivity copper busbars for distribution of power throughout our bespoke manufactured LV switchboards, this will be done using various machine tools and hand fitting skills. As experience develops, the role will progress into taking part in the design and implementation of these systems which are really the ‘beating heart’ of what we manufacture.
This is a highly skilled occupation which takes years to fully master, but the successful applicant will have the unique opportunity to work under arguably one of the best in the business.
Moving over to the steelwork fabrication side of the position, this dedicated element of our production facility is critical to what we do. Fabricating and often designing bespoke enclosures and screening to meet the specific requirements of our customers and applications makes this far more than being proficient with a welding torch!
A Fabrication Apprentice will split their time between both departments, gaining and overview and learning the skills and requirements of both trades as required by the business.

Daily Duties include:

• Assist in the fabrication/design of the copper LV Busbar systems
• Assist in the fabrication/design of bespoke steelwork enclosures for LV power distribution equipment.
• Support workshop manager and fabrication engineers with daily manufacturing

• Participate in project meeting and provide inputTroubleshoot and overcome non-standard requirements and applications

• Hours: 37.50 per week
