The Opportunity:
The Wellness Supervisor role will be serving the serving the community of PEARSON PLACE IN HYTHE, ALBERTA. The Wellness Supervisor is responsible for ensuring top resident care is priority, with a high level of focus in time management.
Hythe is a quaint hamlet in northwest Alberta, Canada located 40 minutes from Grande Prairie. Cost of living in Hythe is 19% lower than the Alberta average and home prices are 63% lower than the rest of Alberta.

  • Strong leadership, supervisory, organizational, communication, and time and resource management skills
  • Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills, deal effectively with difficult or crisis
  • Ensure an interdisciplinary effort to achieve the successful integration of quality of life and quality of care
  • Responsible for the discipline and discharge of LPN’s and HCAs and participates in investigations and grievance processes in accordance with Well-Being Strategies
  • Liaise with the Manager/HR regarding human resource items as required
  • Ongoing monitoring and continuous quality improvement
  • Demonstrates an awareness of accident and injury prevention and adheres to safe work practices (mindful of the psychological health and safety of our employee care partners)
  • Using the available resources, the Wellness Supervisor is responsible for delegating, coordinating, and evaluating the delivery of care based on the Resident Care Plan & Service Plan
  • Ensure that care delivered recognizes each Resident as an individual so that personal needs are met beyond traditional nursing practices
  • Educate and orientate delegated services to care partners as per accepted practice standards

Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from:

  • Graduate of a recognized LPN program
  • Registered and in good standing with their related Licensing Body
  • Valid Certification in First Aid and CPR
  • Experience and knowledge in Human Resources and/or Labour Relations
  • Obtain prior to employment, a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector check
