We have a great opportunity for an Administrator who is passionate about systems and process and equally passionate about Ngāi Tahutanga to join our team on a fixed term basis!
Whakapapa Ngāi Tahu continues to exist in recognition of it being the foundation of culture and identity. The primary role of Whakapapa Ngāi Tahu is ensuring the mana and integrity of the Tribal Register and Registration process are maintained, and that whānau understanding of tribal, hapū and whānau whakapapa is enhanced and readily accessible.
We are seeking an administrator who will be primarily responsible for processing all new applications and enrolments, and ordering records required to complete registration process and maintain our filing system. Handling this confidential whakapapa data in the appropriate manner is an important part of this role. In addition, this role will provide administration and support duties to the Whakapapa Manager and wider team.

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Prior experience applying effective record management systems and processes
  • Well demonstrated customer service skills
  • Ability to self-manage tasks and time effectively
  • Strong awareness of and affinity for the needs and aspirations of Ngāi Tahu whānui
