Salary: £24,667.50 - £25,740 Dependant on experience
The position of Supply Chain Coordinator will work closely with the Head of Sourcing and Sustainability, Category, Product, Marketing and Warehousing teams to ensure all stocked products are purchased in a timely fashion to deliver the required stock availability for the customer.
This will act to support our mission “To provide customers with industry-leading product choice, service and price in partnership with manufacturers through a low-cost model” ensuring customers can clearly get products of the correct price and availability for their build.
The supply chain is a critical area for stocked goods at CMO, coordinators keep track of forecasting, purchasing and update the company’s inventory. They analyse operational performance and resolve issues. They also collaborate with internal stake holders and suppliers to ensure all operations meet our inventory needs. Eg, warehouse space, financial spend, purchase timings, stock availability.
The Role:

The Supply Chain Coordinator role has 4 Key areas of focus:

  • Inventory levels and analysis
  • Forecasting for PO timings
  • Supplier management for purchasing/shipping needs
  • Purchasing of stock – spend, quantity, timing

Inventory & Strategy

  • Support on the creation/maintenance of the company’s ongoing supply chain strategy at the product level.
  • Maintains required quantity of supplies and materials to optimise sales.
  • Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth.
  • Monitor OOS status on products and strive to have stock in asap.
  • Be a source of information to your team on what is going on in your area of supply chain, be a clear conduit of information.
  • Share reports and create and manage though actions as needed or requested.

Forecasting & Data

  • First and foremost ensure the forecast for your products are always up-to-date and regularly assessed.
  • Be involved in the relevant team meetings to see what performance is predicted against actions taken and adjust the forecast as necessary.
  • Liaise with the team on known forecasting issues.
  • Challenge the Supply Chain manager with forecasts for new products or promotions.
  • Ensure all data you are responsible for is kept accurate and up-to-date, carry out sporadic reviews of the data belonging to you and ensure amendments are made as necessary.

Supplier management

  • Be prime point of contact with your suppliers for all purchase orders, invoices, returns and credit notes.
  • Liaise with Supply Chain Manager or Category team on any supplier issues or changes.
  • Analyse data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues.
  • Monitor logistics to make sure they run smoothly.
  • Resolve issues that come up (e.g., delays in delivery, accidents)
  • Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.

Purchasing

  • To raise all relevant purchase orders for inventory, ensure all details are correct and placed in a professional manner.
  • Seek purchase order confirmation and update the records as necessary.
  • Ensure all purchase orders transfer to sage correctly from admin (Pre-migration Xero)
  • Ensure all purchase orders and deliveries are placed on the relevant booking diaries and that the warehouse is fully informed of stock deliveries and details needed to process them
  • Ensure goods received are correct against PO and if different any PO changes are needed action them – the system must always reflect what we expect to occur on any delivery with correct due dates.
  • Have financial transparency, and share information with the Finance team as needed
  • Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards
  • To support on warehouse compiled kit management within Sage Sicon (Post migration)

The team

  • Support the wider supply chain team members and ensure you have the required training, and that it is completed on time.
  • Contribute to our employees, leadership team and Directors as a key advocate for our inventory to ensure that our customers need from inventory are at the heart of our decisions and focus.
  • If necessary, attend meetings and trade conferences to represent the company and increase our profile within the industry
  • To actively demonstrate and embody the cultural values to all staff.
  • From time-to-time, undertake activities as necessary that are outside of key roles and responsibilities as required by the needs of the business.
