Job title: Wind Engineer Construction

TGRC is currently looking for a Wind Engineer Construction, you’ll be reporting to the Head of the Wind Department, the Wind Engineer Construction.
This role requires solid technical expertise in wind energy, particularly in construction, as well as strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate with various departments and external partners. The Wind Engineer Construction plays a central role in ensuring the smooth implementation of wind energy projects and ensuring their technical and financial integrity.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree/master in engineering (e.g. civil or electrical engineering)
  • Minimal 5 years of experience in the wind business or related construction activities
  • Knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, basic CAD knowledge
  • Knowledge of FIDIC contracts would be an advantage
  • Languages: English fluently, additional language skills appreciated

Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Support: Assisting in the preparation of Requests for Proposals, analyzing offers, suggesting shortlists, and negotiating contracts in close collaboration with the Head of Implementation for various aspects including:
  • Studies required as a basis for design works
  • Design works
  • Balance of plant works such as roads, foundations, cabling, etc.
  • Supply and installation of main equipment such as wind turbine generators, power transformers, etc.
  • Service contracts
  • Reviewing wind farm layouts, bill of quantities, civil and electrical designs generated during permitting (pre-design, building design), before tendering of works, during implementation (execution design), and the final as-built design.
  • Providing technical information and cost estimations to the Financial Department for financial simulations.
  • Supporting the Financial Department in technical aspects of Due Diligence conducted by third-party Financial Institutions.
