Arterra Wines Canada is Canada’s leading producer and marketer of award-winning, globally recognized Canadian and imported wines. Winery Associates are responsible for providing consistent, outstanding hospitality to all visitors by providing an overall entertaining and informative tour and tasting experiences for each individual or group of visitors with the ultimate goal of achieving sales. Ideal candidates for the Winery Associate position will have experience in the hospitality industry, with wine knowledge being an important asset. Our chosen candidates must be energetic, personable, upbeat and responsible. Candidates must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays. Multiple positions available.

Duties/Responsibilities/Procedures:

  • Assisting customers with wine tasting and purchases, while providing exceptional and professional customer service
  • Conducting entertaining and informative tours of the winery, including performing structured tastings for tour groups
  • Use a computer-operated point-of-sale system and perform opening and closing duties
  • Assisting with special events
  • Representing the winery at offsite events
  • Stocking wine and giftware
  • Performing general housekeeping duties

Job Requirements:

  • Smart Serve Certification
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability work well within a team-focused environment

  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Responsible and trustworthy
  • Ambitious and goal-oriented
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Previous serving experience would be an asset
  • Fluency in French would be considered an asset
  • Wine knowledge an asset but not necessary as training is provided
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays
