RESPONSABILITIES
- The availability of network data has increased significantly in recent times and spans a wide range of fields, from social media to biology, cyber security, and climate science. Your research will contribute to designing novel stochastic models defined on graphs to model network data sets and perform forecasting tasks. The project is a collaboration with the London Imperial College and its NEST (Network Stochastic Processes and Time Series) Program.
You will use your research results for scientific publications and your own Ph.D. qualification.
If you are attracted to work in an interdisciplinary, highly motivated team and by the academic examination of a topic of high practical relevance, you should also meet the following requirements:
- Applicants should hold a Master’s Degree in Mathematics focusing on Probability Theory or Mathematical Statistics or a comparable degree, which gives access to the corresponding qualification level.
- Knowledge in Stochastic Processes, Graph Theory, Statistical Modeling is an advantage.
