Our Client is a global leader in their field. This unique Work, Health and Safety role will enable you to leverage your previous strong experience in Safety Legislation to be part of an expanding internal team and use this platform to successfully collaborate with clients on all WHS needs.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE WHS MANAGER WILL INCLUDE:
- Collaboration and assistance in the implementation of WHS plans and strategies across all sites.
- Outstanding communication will be paramount, operating across multiple teams and time zones.
- Large focus on Psychosocial and Ergonomics within the workplace.
- Assist executive and senior management in understanding their WHS responsibilities and accountability.
- Creating and maintaining a program for training, audits, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and contractor management
- Reviewing the safety performance of each Business Unit against benchmarks and defining and monitoring performance targets related to WHS metrics.
- Create and deliver safety orientations, as well as take part in workplace incident investigations.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL AT THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS or an equivalent level of professional in a comparable environment.
- Experience in developing Safety procedures in relation to ergonomics and psychosocial aspects.
- Great communication skills to operate across multiple teams and time zones.
- Excellent consultation, negotiation, and facilitation abilities.
- Ability to build long-standing relationships throughout multiple organisations.
- Sharp and well-presented.
