Responsibilities:

The Work Health and Safety (WHS) Consultant is responsible for working with and supporting South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) management, to ensure a consistent approach to the development, coordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of WHS across the SWSLHD. Responsibilities include consultation with relevant stakeholders, the provision of advice and assistance to facilities and services of SWSLHD on matters and issues relating to WHS, enabling compliance with WHS legislation, Ministry of Health and local policies and procedures are met, and the prevention of workplace incidents and injuries.
South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) is committed to a strategic, systematic, integrated approach to WHS and wellbeing management, and the promotion of a healthy workforce in the context of a patient care environment. The objective of the WHS Consultant is to contribute to and enable, a planned and coordinated approach to health and safety risks in the workplace.
