Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Performs analysis of the daily use and administration of all Human Resources technology. Assists in the development, implementation, communication, maintenance and administration of HR applications programs and processes.

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the Workday Payroll module, providing HCM system administration and support, configurations, enhancement, and deployment efforts
  • Support multi-state payroll and reporting functions including payroll processing, reviewing and revising policies and procedures, proper reporting to the finance groups, internal controls, and system review
  • Assist and manage payroll system setup including earnings, deductions, taxes, new programs, general ledger, and troubleshooting within Workday
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll, wage and hour laws, department operations to communicate payroll wage and tax information, payroll procedures, and payroll system functionality to all levels of employees
  • Understand key components of the Workday system and all interactions, including but not limited to Payroll, the HR Help Desk, Benefits, Absence, Compensation, and Self Service
  • Configure and test Workday BPs
  • Coordinate all HR User Acceptance Testing to ensure that all business processes and system functionality are fully tested and functional
  • Build/Write custom reports within Workday Payroll to troubleshoot issues in real-time
  • Configure and maintain Workday security roles and groups to the required level of confidentially and segregation of duties

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Recommends improvements to strategy, application usage, or process.
  2. Applies knowledge of the business process in various functional areas.
  3. Analyzes the discovery and conceptual design work required to translate business needs into solutions and features.
  4. Ensures data integrity, testing of issues and system changes, audits, analyzes data flows for process improvement opportunities and completes documentation on system and various modifications.
  5. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
  6. Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
  7. Performs other duties as assigned.
