What you’ll achieve
As a Workday Financials Administration Consultant, you will be responsible for managing the backlog of enhancement requests for the Workday Financials application. This will include prioritization of the backlog, status updates on open projects and providing guidance to the junior members of the team. You will work with predominantly the Accounting and Finance teams as well as the Workday Integrations team on a variety of projects including new Workday functionality implementations, reporting requirements as well as process improvements and efficiency gains for existing processes.

You will:

  • Manage the Workday Financials application, including design, configuration and daily administration of the platform.
  • Leverage project management experience to handle multiple tasks and functions simultaneously, ensuring successful execution of assigned projects.
  • Utilize process improvement methodologies to streamline financial operations, increase efficiencies, and improve financial performance.
  • Collaboratively work with financial and operational teams to determine the effectiveness of the financial systems and recommend necessary changes.
  • Provide guidance to the junior members of the team with regard to financial processes and/or Workday functionality.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Workday Financials modules, including but not limited to General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, and Financial Reporting
  • Minimum of 2 years providing Workday Financials training to users on.
  • Minimum of 3 years with Workday reporting tools
  • Minimum of 2 years with Workday security features and the ability to manage user access, roles, and permissions to ensure data integrity and compliance.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Solid project management experience, with demonstrable ability to meet project deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Experience in process improvement, with a proven record for conceptualizing, implementing, and monitoring enhancements in financial processes.
  • The ability to provide training to users on Workday Financials functionalities.
  • Strong financial acumen or related experience to understand and manage the intricacies of financial operations and regulations.
  • Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements, and the ability to configure Workday Financials to meet these standards.
    Strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams, end-users, and management.
