Description:
- ASIC is seeking a full-time Workforce Analyst to join their People & Development Team
- Permanent position based in Sydney or Melbourne
- Salary starting from $87,259 (plus 15.4% superannuation) depending on experience

The team
People & Development (P&D) are responsible for delivering people initiatives that are aligned with business strategy. The team delivers initiatives, advice and services that support Senior Executives, Managers, and employees during their careers with ASIC.
The role
- Analysing people data from various sources to gather insights to inform programs of work and to empower the P&D team and the broader business to make data-driven decisions
- Producing management reports that require complex data manipulation and provide meaningful data insights to enable evidence-based decision making. This includes regular and ad-hoc reports for Commission, senior executives, management and risk committees, and the broader People & Development team
- Responding to requests for ad-hoc data and information in a timely and accurate manner with a view of self-service reporting
- Using business intelligence applications to create dashboards, reports and data visualisations to communicate people data analytics and insights
- Be a business intelligence system champion, coaching P&D team members on how to use BI technology and shifting people analytics capability within the business
- Participate in multiple streams of work and projects of varying levels of complexity
About you
- A qualification in Human Resources or Data Analytics, related disciplines or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years practical experience in a Human Resources related discipline or a data analytics role
- Strong analytical skills and proven track record in analysing people data sets, extrapolating key insights and communicating these effectively to assist with influencing business decisions.
- Demonstrated IT and reporting skills including advanced Excel skills in lookups, advanced formulas, pivot tables and experience with an HRIS and SharePoint
- Prior experience in building custom reports and dashboards with data visualisation tools (Power BI, QLIK, Qualtrics) highly regarded
- Demonstrate a high level of autonomy to work independently, plan, organise and complete work whilst also enjoying working in a collaborative and collegiate team
- Demonstrate strong time management skills, with the ability to set priorities, plan and organise own work and connect to the broader team in order to achieve set objectives within agreed timeframe and quality standards
- An understanding of the principles of data governance and data management from a privacy perspective
- Experience in workforce planning principles would be highly regarded
