Job Description
Our passionate R&D team develops the future Brainlab image guide surgery and digital O.R. hardware portfolio. These innovative medical devices offer our customers easy access to the Brainlab software capabilities of today and tomorrow.
As a Working student in our team you will make a direct impact on the work of our R&D, service and production personnel by developing intuitive GUI tools to streamline configuration, maintenance and update tasks of our medical devices.

As part of our development team you will:

  • Design and implement intuitive UI workflows
  • Use Python and Qt to create responsive and portable GUI tools
  • Interface with configure embedded Linux software systems
  • Plan and perform tool validation
  • Document and release software in a medical regulatory environment
  • Work in close collaboration with other R&D engineers
  • Present your work results

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Enrolled student in a Bachelor/Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience with Python and GUI development (preferably using Qt)
  • Experienced with setting up and configuring Linux distributions
  • Ideally first experiences in applying software development principles, such as unit testing or source control
  • Available for at least six months, located in our office in Munich
  • Pleasure of working in a team
  • Well-organized and independent working style
  • Fluent written and spoken English, German is a plus
