Metso is a global supplier of equipment, technology and services to customers in the mining and construction industry. The Metals Business Area provides processing solutions and equipment for metals refining. The Metals & Chemical Processing Business Line (MCP) offers products and services to acid & off-gas, fluid bed and light metals customers. We are recognized by our customers as delivering energy-efficient and sustainable process equipment and plant solutions as well as integrated digital solutions and competent services for plants lifecycle.
We are looking for a Working Student in Metals & Chemical Processing Service Product Management for Metals industry technologies. This position supports the service product management to enrich the documentation of the spare parts, pricing categories, shortlists of equipment and technology and updating the information available in the Product Data Management system. Both proactive and reactive replacement and update of spare parts data is needed to enable successful business transactions to support our customers.
In this role you will be located in our office in Oberursel, Germany.
What you’ll do
Proactive Data Maintenance related to spare parts of the Metals & Chemical Processing technologies
Supporting the development of proactive replacements data management procedures and processes
Assign proper part pricing, update item description and create BOMs (bill of material)
Identify duplicated parts, ramp down not required parts
Assign spares to installed base mapping
Carrying out assigned data quality control procedures of the replacements data management
Maintaining replacements master data according to the rules given by data owners
Enrich parts sourcing information and documentation
Assign documentation to identified and short-listed spare parts for each MCP technology
Develop itemization list of spare parts for supporting Capex spares lists and project deliveries
Who you are
Proactive communication
Student in area of Mechanical and/or Metallurgical Engineering, Business Engineering or similar
Good knowledge and experience with MS Office 365; use of ERP system is a benefit
Good knowledge and understanding of mechanical drawings and use of CAD tools
Thorough and independent way of working
Good written and spoken German and English skills for a smooth communication in a global corporation; other languages a benefit
Commitment and willingness to learn about Metso products and services
