QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • 10+ years relevantexperience
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and AS/NZS 4801
  • Experience in management systems
  • Experienced in working with people from varied backgrounds and cultures.

Responsibilities:

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

To proactively support the success of the business through the development and provision of quality WHS services to management and staff.
To provide high quality WHS services to management and staff
To ensure compliance with legislation and relevant standards
To execute WHS strategy
Systems Management
Auditing and reporting

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing ways to effectively integrate WHS processes across the region
  • Developing appropriate benchmarks for senior staff
  • Ensuring WHS compliance as per legislation, regulations and/or international standards
  • Ensuring that company systems are developed and maintained to incorporate WHS requirements
  • Auditing and monitoring of systems
  • Identifying and recommending changes to the system and work practices to improve quality and efficiency
  • Maintenance and communication of local quality, environmental and WHS system policies and processes
  • Arranging programs) for the education of staff in regard to the WHS systems
  • Coordinating with external auditors for the purpose of maintaining our third-party accreditation
  • Assisting Project Managers in the application of the WHS systems to specific projects
  • Providing advice and support to the management team and local committees in relation to WHS management
  • Engaging in Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by your manager or Arcadis
  • Ensuring you are familiar and compliant with Health and Safety regulations and guidelines
