The opportunity:
We are looking for a Workshop Foreman to join our team in the Manawatu. In this role you’ll see yourself responsible for assisting in running our dynamic and busy Workshop. You will be leading a team of Technicians and reporting to the Workshop Manager.

In addition to the above you will:

  • Co-ordination of resources to safely and efficiently complete planned work and breakdowns
  • Provide technical support and advice to technicians and apprentices
  • Overseeing quality of repairs on the workshop floor and the timely reaction to call outs
  • Ensuring our high health and safety standards are met by your team
  • Delivering quality service to all internal and external customers

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Minimum full class 2 licence, class 5 is desirable
  • Mechanic Trade Qualification or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 - 5 years’ experience in heavy machinery / plant maintenance (or similar) industry
  • Preferably experience with MAXIMO or equivalent plant maintenance suite
  • Computer literate – using Microsoft suite effectively
  • Accurate work habits with a high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of people
  • Customer focused with excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong planning ability, able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise work
