QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience within the forklift industry or similar in an associated industry. (desirable)
• Relevant trade qualification (Forklift Mechanic, Automotive Electrician, Light Vehicle Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle, Plant, Diesel Mechanic) - essential.
• Forklift Licence & LPG Certificate advantageous but not essential.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Sound mechanical aptitude; diagnostic and repair skills.
• Strong work ethic and self-motivated.
• Sound problem solving and decision making skills.
• Proven time management skills with the ability to work independently.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to participate in training programs to increase your product knowledge and understanding of procedures, safe work practices, statutory responsibilities and licensing requirements.
• Commitment to maintaining safe work practices.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) are currently seeking a qualified Mechanic/Technician to work in our brand new state of the art workshop located in Dandenong South. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance services (including planned maintenance, repairs and modifications) on a range of material handling equipment.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct mechanical repairs and maintenance of customer units which includes preventative service and break-downs in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of job sheets, timesheets and any other administrative components.
