Are you ready to take your career up a gear? We have a vacancy for a Workshop Manager at our Lillyhall Depot near Workington, Cumbria.
As Workshop Manager, you’ll be ready to roll your sleeves up for a rewarding role that doesn’t just help people get from A to B – you help communities stay connected.
Stagecoach UK Bus is one of Britain’s leading public transport businesses, helping connect communities for 40 years. Our team of 24,000 people and our 8,300 buses and coaches are part of the fabric of daily life in England, Scotland and Wales. When you join our family, we will offer you:
· Job Security – we’ve been on the road since 1980 and we are not planning on hanging our boots up anytime soon
· Free Travel – for you and your companion on all of our services
· Support – We have a fantastic support network throughout the Company to help and advise you along your journey
· Career Development - at Stagecoach we pride ourselves on developing our employees into future business leaders as we believe this is the best way to improve and future-proof our organisation
· Brilliant Working Environment – you’ll join an energetic and friendly team of engineers
With a total fleet of around 85 vehicles travelling around West Cumbria and the fantastic Lake District, you’ll have the responsibility of supporting, advising, and managing a team of engineers and support staff to ensure all our buses are clean, safe and reliable on the road each day.
The successful candidate will have the appropriate engineering qualifications, excellent diagnostic skills, relevant experience within a workshop supervisory role and knowledge of PCV operations.
The job demands someone with energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to motivate staff to meet the targets and the high standards we set for the maintenance and cleaning of our buses and to liaise with colleagues in the Operations Department to ensure PVR is met at all times.
