Description:
The Homerton Healthcare Foundation Trust is offering an exciting opportunity to recruit a dynamic, highly motivated & enthusiastic Workshop Supervisor to join our Clinical Engineering team.
We are looking for an individual with previous technical & management experience in a provider setting, who is innovative & keen to develop safe clinical engineering service across the trust & in wider community.
The post holder will be responsible for day-to-day tasks and supervise the daily operations of the clinical engineering workshop, ensuring the maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical equipment. This role involves supervising a team of technicians, prioritising, and delegating tasks, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, as well as technical work in high dependency department.

The successful candidate will report to Deputy Manager. The post is essential to supporting operational delivery on day-to-day basis and ongoing equipment maintenance planning. The post holder will manage a team of clinical engineering technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality performance, candidate will oversee the routine maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety. Also, ensure all activities comply with relevant safety standards, regulations, and hospital policies, maintaining a safe working environment.
The candidate will Identify training needs and facilitate ongoing education and professional development opportunities for the technical team. Also, Implement and monitor Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure high standards of service and equipment performance.
Candidates will work closely with clinical and non-clinical team members as well as the Trust’s senior management team.
Candidates should therefore be confident in liaising with clinician & nursing staff, have excellent communication skills and be able to support and advise on complex devices & safety matters.
