Meyerdierks Consulting GmbH is a German based recruiting and consulting company, specializing in international professional and executive positions.
Our client is a highly reputably and established company with approximately 20 marine surveyors and owner representatives with respect to the construction and operation of yachts. In the past 30 years, they have been providing construction support by consultancy and new build supervision for buyers of yacht projects. For this client, we are searching for a:
Yacht Surveyor (m/f/x)
in Hamburg, Germany
Aufgaben
As a yacht surveyor, you will inspect damages to steel, aluminum, wooden and fiberglass yachts up to 60 meters. You will assess damages on-site and create an extensive report concerning technical implications, safety implications, damage extend, commercial implications for repairs and estimated duration of repairs. You will create reports for insurance companies, ship yards and clients.

Qualifikation

  • A degree in engineering, as a certified technician or similar academic achievement. Alternatively, you bring a trade school education and extensive professional experience to the table.
  • You have strong computer skills, with a primary focus on MS Office applications.
  • You are fluent in English and German.
  • You are willing to travel worldwide for inspections of damages.
  • You have hands – on experience with wooden and fiberglass yachts.
  • In this position, you are involved with and personally meet high profile clientele. Therefore, you must be able to conduct yourself and communicate in a professional – and sometimes diplomatic - manner.
