Description:

  • Keep the yard running smoothly, playing a key role in our operations

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Prior experience in a comparable position within the construction sector.
  • OSH Forklift Operator’s certificate with strong forklift experience
  • First Aid Certificate is beneficial.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and pass random drug tests throughout your employment
  • Have no criminal convictions
  • Physically able

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Join us as a Yard Hand and play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the yard. Your duties will include managing inventory, handling orders, and fulfilling reasonable requests from Yard and Commercial managers to ensure smooth operations. This role involves outdoor work, so being comfortable with this environment is essential. As a part of the wider team, you’ll actively participate in discussions and contribute to the team culture. This role plays a pivotal part in our operations, you’ll ensure that all activities at are executed in a safe manner. If you’re a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety, we want you on our team. The hours of work are Monday – Friday 07:00 AM – 04:30 PM.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Willingness to be able to lend a hand where required and understand that no two days may be the same
  • Strong communication skills
  • Possess a keen and positive attitude
  • Be able to follow all Health & Safety protocols and procedures
  • Collaborate within a team and follow Senior team member instructions.
  • Follow instructions, including driving, loading, and lifting.
  • Identify and transfer equipment parts efficiently.
  • Pick and return orders promptly, maintaining yard organization.
  • Perform stock maintenance tasks and load/unload trucks.
  • Care for equipment, materials, and vehicles.
  • Manage stock and consumables, including ordering and stock takes.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Complete tasks competently and punctually.
