About The Service
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual with excellent customer care skills to join our Into Work Advice Service Team.
Into Work Advice Service provides employment support for people across Cardiff. We have many bespoke projects specifically aimed at 16-24 year olds, giving them the advice, guidance and support required to successfully transition into employment or training.
About the job
The post will be based in the Butetown, Grangetown and Riverside areas of Cardiff as part of the Communities For Work Plus Project.
The project will target unemployed and economically inactive customers, aged 16-24 years old, to help them overcome complex barriers to employment.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate an understanding of the issues faced by customers; and possess the ability to help the customers enter employment.
The hours and days of work are flexible, with some rota duties required.
What We Are Looking For From You
You will have experience of working with young people on a face to face basis and a commitment to providing a high quality customer service.
You will have good communication and IT skills, and the ability to resolve disputes in a positive and constructive manner.
You will work well in a team and have a flexible approach to engagement.
You will understand the issues young people may have; and will have a caring and empathetic approach when providing employment support.
A working knowledge and experience of the local area would be advantageous.
