Bentley Staffing is looking to hire Full-Time (Seasonal) Landscape Crew Members for a well-established, locally-owned landscaping company in Cobourg. The ideal candidates must possess strong teamwork skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic to deliver high-quality workmanship. As a landscaper, you will play an important role in ensuring that outdoor spaces are well-maintained and visually appealing. By following your job duties carefully, you will help to create beautiful and well-maintained outdoor environments for your clients to enjoy. The position expects to run until November, but there is also the possibility of winter snow removal work, which presents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate.

Start Date: Monday 8 September
Shift: Monday - Friday 7.00 am - 4.30 am (approx 40 to 50 hour week)
Wage: Starting at $20.00 p/h, plus 4% vacation pay, paid weekly by direct deposit every Friday. Higher pay rates will be offered to those with extensive experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possession of a high school diploma is preferred.
• At least 1-3 years of practical experience in hardscaping/softscaping is preferred with another similar company
• Must be able to lift 50lb+
• Should be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous and repetitive tasks such as tree, shrub, perennial planting/care, mulching, weeding, garden bed creation, etc.
• A positive problem-solving attitude is essential.
• A valid driver’s license is preferred, and a clean driver’s abstract is required.

• Spreading topsoil, laying sod, and planting a variety of different plants such as flowers, grass, shrubs, and trees. You will also be required to assist with the construction of landscapes and related structures.
• Cutting grass, raking leaves, fertilizing and watering lawns, weeding gardens, pruning shrubs and trees, and performing other maintenance duties.
• Constructing landscaped environments, which may include planting trees, shrubs, lawns, installing fences, decks, patios, and other landscape structures.
• Performing other manual duties such as cleaning and maintaining landscaped environments to ensure that they remain in excellent condition.
