We are looking for a full-time assistant to work in our office located in Markham (Steeles and Warden). The main position responsibility will be assisting Senior consultants with files, performing research, completing application forms, draft submissions and assembling application packages.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • College diploma is required
  • experience in immigration or related field is preferred

Responsibilities
  • Carry on daily office administrative duties including greeting clients, collect mails and response to inquiry emails.
  • Coordinate immigration processes including case initiation, case preparation and submission, monitoring progress, and follow-up on completion
  • Identify and advise Senior Counsel on key issues that may impact the immigration process such as travel plans, dependents, and medical records
  • Follow up with clients and ensure the client has a clear understanding of requirements and that all applications and documents submitted are accurate, complete, and timely
  • Effectively manages time prioritizing, identify and addressing critical tasks, while remaining flexible to changing priorities.
  • Possesses an intermediate understanding of various immigration categories
  • Understands, interprets, and applies government regulations to immigration cases
  • Basic bookkeeping including client invoicing
  • Maintain strict client confidentiality, ensuring secure document handling and protection of client info and all other data
  • Stay current with immigration laws and requirements and industry best practice
