  • Overall technical responsibility for data engineering projects, including the definition of integration standards and ensuring scalability, security, and governance.
  • Responsibility for stable and high-quality data flows through optimization of database queries and data pipelines, as well as ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Close collaboration with management and stakeholders in implementing business requirements, as well as maintaining structured documentation.
  • Definition of best practices and standards, mentoring of junior and expert data engineers, and promotion of a collaborative work culture.
  • Evaluation and implementation of new technologies, optimization of processes, and sustainable development of the data landscape in line with corporate goals.

  • Completed studies or training in the field of computer science, business informatics or comparable – alternatively, relevant practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer, as well as sound knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL), Data Vault modeling, and experience with ETL tools such as Airbyte and Apache Airflow for pipeline orchestration.
  • Experience in programming languages ​​such as Python or Java, confident use of GitHub, a deep understanding of company-wide data and system landscapes, and experience in the introduction of standards and governance models.
  • Strong analytical skills, a confident demeanor and excellent communication skills – combined with the ability to provide competent advice to stakeholders, to take a solution-oriented approach and to demonstrate a high degree of customer and service orientation.
  • Independent, structured and team-oriented work style, openness to new technologies, and the willingness to quickly familiarize oneself with new topics and actively drive them forward.
  • Excellent German skills, both spoken and written (C1 level preferred)
