An excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to join a high-profile Victorian public sector environment, providing practical HR leadership, stakeholder support and oversight across a broad range of workforce activities. This role would suit someone who knows how to operate effectively within a complex government environment and can confidently navigate HR processes, recruitment activity, position management and senior stakeholder relationships.

It is a 6 months contract role.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing high-level HR advice, support, troubleshooting and issue resolution across multiple business areas
• Managing and coordinating recruitment activity, including high-volume and tranche-based recruitment campaigns
• Building strong relationships with Executives, Directors, Managers and key internal stakeholders
• Working closely with People Services and other corporate functions to ensure HR matters are progressed efficiently
• Overseeing HR administration, documentation, approvals and employee-related processes
• Supporting position management, reporting and workforce data accuracy
• Reviewing HR documentation and processes with a strong quality assurance and risk focus

Ideally, you will bring:

• Previous HR management, senior HR advisory or business partnering experience within the Victorian Government
• Demonstrated knowledge of Victorian Government HR processes, policies and operating environments
• Experience coordinating complex or high-volume recruitment activity
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including confidence working with senior and executive-level stakeholders
• Excellent judgement, attention to detail and the ability to identify and manage HR-related risk
